Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds celebrated the film's 'Leakaversary' earlier today in a tweet — and blamed said 'Leakaversary' for Deadpool 3's delays.

Reynolds tweeted a 30-second montage of the now-infamous leaked test footage, ending with text that reads "Unsolved Leaks, a reference to "Unsolved Mysteries," a TV series whose opening credits resemble the edited footage of this clip. "It's why the next Deadpool film is taking so long," the caption reads. "Still trying to solve this. Happy Leakaversary."

The footage, which was originally leaked to YouTube on July 28, 2014, was a screen test created by visual effects artist and the director of the first Deadpool film Tim Miller from 2012. After an overwhelmingly positive reception from fans, Fox put Deadpool on the production fast-track, with filming beginning in March of 2015 for a premiere date in February 2016.

Following Disney's merger with Fox, it's currently unclear what the future holds for Deadpool 3. Aside from occasional comments and updates from Reynolds', little information about Deadpool 3 has been released.

Directed by Tim Miller and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano and Brianna Hildebrand.
