Marvel is launching a new series titled Deadpool: Black, White & Blood to celebrate the Merc with a Mouth's 30th anniversary.

The anthology was announced during the "Deadpool's Nerdy Thirty" virtual event by Marvel's editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski. Deadpool: Black, White & Blood will feature a prestige black-and-white format, along with an all-star cast of creators presenting stories that feature "the kind of chaos and violence that Wade Wilson loves!"

This is not the first Black, White, & Blood prestige series that Marvel has released. Wolverine: Black, White, & Blood utilized a similar format for the clawed X-Man, and Carnage: Black, White & Blood will tackle Spider-Man's symbiotic archenemy beginning in March.

In addition to Deadpool: Black, White & Blood, Deadpool will also appear in a series of variant covers by co-creator Rob Liefeld, which features the Merc with a mouth teaming with other heroes. Liefeld will also host a five part podcast series chronicling the creation of Deadpool.

Deadpool was created in 1991 by Fabian Nicieza and Liefeld, first appearing in The New Mutants #98. He has become one of Marvel's most popular characters, and even served as the star of a v successful film franchise with a third installment to be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Deadpool: Black, White & Blood #1 goes on sale in August 2021 from Marvel.
