Fox's "Deadpool" continues its unlikely run at racking up nominations for some of Hollywood's most prestigious awards, this time landing among the 10 finalists for the Producers Guild of America's Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures category at the 28th annual PGA Awards.

Deadline reports "Deadpool" joins a stacked list of nominees including Oscar frontrunner and Golden Globes sweeper "La La Land," "Hidden Figures," "Fences," "Arrival," "Hacksaw Ridge," "Hell Or High Water," "Lion," "Manchester By The Sea," and "Moonlight."

It's been a big year for "Deadpool" -- the film nabbed two Critics’ Choice Awards wins and it's screenwriter earned a Writers Guild Nomination. With a PGA nomination, the likelihood of the Merc With A Mouth being nominated for an Oscar seems to have increased, though the odds of it winning remain a bit of a longshot. The film is up for an Academy Award in the Makeup and Hairstyling category.

In a recent talk with Variety, “Logan” star Hugh Jackman revealed that he believes in “Deadpool’s” Oscar chances. “When I hosted the Oscars, ‘Batman’ didn’t get nominated, and everyone was talking about it,” said Jackman. “It’s a stretch to say these are injustices in life — we are happy and making movies. But I love it when someone like Ryan gets recognized… These big-budget or comic book movies are not easy to pull off.”
