Deadpool's Baccarin Agrees with Decision to Cut Extra Sex Scenes

"Deadpool's" R-rating was praised and justified with the variety of explicit content it presented. The film especially didn't hold back when it featured a sex scene, or series of sex scenes, between Wade Wilson (Ryan Renolds) and Morena Baccarin's character Vanessa.

According to Baccarin during an interview with Conan O'Brien, the scene took two days to shoot and had several parts cut out -- and she's okay with that. “We ended up leaving just a lot [of sex scenes from 'Deadpool'] on the cutting room floor, because there are a lot of holidays," Baccarin said. "And I feel good about that---the part that was left out. I literally mean that [was] enough sex. Like nobody needs to see more than what was in the movie.”

Despite cutting out clips, the sex sequence still managed to cover a broad range of holidays including Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween and more.

In depth details about “Deadpool 2's" story are currently unknown, but the sequel will introduce Cable, leader of the X-Force, and his X-Force teammate Domino.

Arriving in theaters June 1, 2018, “Deadpool 2” will see the return of Ryan Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams, along with newcomers Zazie Beetz and Josh Brolin. The film is directed by “John Wick’s” David Leitch.
