Deadpool will come face to face with young Cable for the first time this March.

Cable and Deadpool have teamed up in the past on both page and screen. But when Wade Wilson meets this new version of Nate Summers in Cable #3, he will quickly realize that this is not the grizzled old veteran that he knew and loved. However, that does not mean the two won't end up as friends. Marvel is teasing that their meetup "will prove that this is one friendship that is destined to be."

“Show up if you want to be thrilled by an important new era in Cable’s history,” promised Duggan in an interview with Screen Rant. “Or you get lost looking at Phil’s work. It’s his finest hour.”

Readers were first introduced to this new Cable in Extermination #1, where young Cable killed the older version of himself to save the timestream.

Aside from Cable, Gerry Duggan is also currently writing Marauders. Phil Noto is known for his work on Dr. Strange and various Star Wars comics.

Written by Gerry Duggan, with art and a cover by Phil Noto, Cable #3 hits shelves on March 11.
