"Deadpool" continues to break records. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that the Merc with a Mouth's winning streak has continued to its home video release, where it has so far sold 1 million units in one week. "Deadpool" was released digitally on April 29.

Citing analysis from comScore's Digital Downloads Essentials, Fox notes that "Deadpool" is it's best-performing Digital HD title ever in addition to reaching 1 million units sold faster than any other release. Overall, "Deadpool" is the fastest-selling superhero film on Digital HD.

"The consumer response to 'Deadpool' has been unprecedented in theaters and now at home," said 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment president and chief marketing officer of worldwide marketing Mary Daily. "In just one week, Digital HD transactions are reaching superhero levels."

"Deadpool" arrived in theaters on February 12 and went on to gross $361.9 million domestically. It's worldwide total is even more heroic; it stands at $761.7 when international markets are added. The film is so far the highest-grossing film of 2016 domestically, with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" coming in second with $326 million.

"Deadpool" will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on May 10.
