The circumstances surrounding the abrupt cancellation of plans for a Deadpool animated series from FX and Donald Glover have gotten more complicated. In a deleted tweet, Glover's brother and collaborator Stephen Glover suggested the "creative differences" that led to the split may reached a peak with an episode featuring pop singer Taylor Swift.

Unfortunately, he didn't elaborate on the content of the episode, leaving fans only to speculate. In another tweet, Glover said the cartoon "wasn't too black ... But we definitely wanted to give Rick and Morty a run for their money, and I think that we would have."
FX, which gave the project a straight-to-series order last May, announced over the weekend that it and Marvel Television hard parted ways with the Glover brothers on the series, citing only "creative differences." Donald Glover responded on Wednesday with a fake finale script that took digs at the show's cancellation, while musing about what networks mean when they say that they want something "different."
In the since-deleted tweets, Glover wrote that "for the record: i wasnt too busy to work on deadpool," addressing suggestions that between FX's Atlanta, his music career as Childish Gambino and film roles that he simply didn't have time for the project.
