A new Deadpool 3 report claims that Zazie Beetz is currently in talks to return as mutant mercenary Domino.Beetz recently met with Marvel Studios to discuss reprising her Deadpool 2 role in the film's upcoming sequel, according to industry insider Daniel Richtman. The star previously publicly expressed interest in portraying Domino again, however, she remained coy about whether any discussions had taken place. Richtman's report seemingly confirms Beetz is indeed in the running to return for Deadpool 3, although it's worth noting that neither Marvel Studios nor the actor herself have officially commented on her involvement with the project.Related: Deadpool 3 Can Make Amends for One of the X-Men Franchise's Worst Moments

Several other franchise veterans are likewise still in limbo at the moment, including Morena Baccarin, who portrays Wade Wilson/Deadpool's fiancée Vanessa. Baccarin recently insisted she has no idea whether Marvel Studios will invite her back for the upcoming threequel, although she believes Vanessa's last-minute reprieve in Deadpool 2 improved her chances. "I wish I had information I could give you but I really don't," she said. "But it'd be great... I think when we shot the second film, [Vanessa was supposed to] just die. And then after they screened it a few times they actually changed it to include this timeline thing [to resurrect Vanessa] so I think that's a good sign that the fans want to see her again."

Hugh Jackman Claws His Way Into the MCU

Baccarin's Deadpool 2 co-star Lewis Tan is also not officially attached to Deadpool 3, however, the English actor and martial artist teased his return as Shatterstar via a recent tweet. Tan's cryptic tweet consisted of the movie's promotional post along with two emojis, an alien and crossed swords, that seemingly reference his character's alien heritage and trademark twin blades. How Shatterstar's involvement in Deadpool 3 fits with the events of Deadpool 2 isn't clear, as, in that film, Shatterstar was one of several casualties of X-Force's disastrous debut mission. What's more, Marvel Studios is yet to confirm Tan is returning for Deadpool 3, so his participation should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
