What does Domino's future hold in Deadpool 3? Even her actor Zazie Beetz isn't sure.During an interview with Variety at the Season 3 premiere of Atlanta, Beetz was asked if she knew anything about the involvement of Marvel's luckiest mutant in Deadpool 3. Beetz responded with a laugh and the following, "I heard Deadpool 3 has a director." It seems that's either all she knows or is willing to say on the topic, as fans continue to wait for updates on the long-awaited Deadpool sequel.
If Beetz actually doesn't know anything about the project, she's in good company. Ryan Reynolds, the actor famous for playing the Merc with a Mouth, has been tight-lipped as to the progress of the sequel. Even co-star and Deadpool's onscreen love interest Morena Baccarin doesn't know if she'll appear.
The latest news shared by Reynolds himself was the addition of Shawn Levy as director for the third Deadpool. With Levy acting as director for the threequel, it will also be his third film working with Reynolds after Free Guy and The Adam Project. Beetz and other actors hoping to get a piece of the film are seemingly being kept in the dark or hushed by Marvel Studios.
Domino, who first appeared in the second Deadpool film, has a self-assured attitude that oozes confidence and sarcasm. She and several others are recruited by Wade Wilson to stop a mysterious time traveler named Cable from killing a mutant child named Russell on a destructive path leading him to a future as a serial killer. Deadpool and the newly formed X-Force swoop in to stop a prisoner convoy, rescue Russell and alter his future before Cable can get his hands on him.
Most members of X-Force are soon killed off in a series of mishaps involving power lines, helicopter blades, a wood chipper and acidic vomit, but Domino averts disaster through her powers of luck, and fortunately she proves to be all the backup Deadpool needs. The film ends with Deadpool and crew, including Domino, emerging victorious. Whether the character sticks around after the credits roll is anyone's guess, but the open ending means there's plenty of opportunity for her to return in the next installment.
Deadpool 3 is currently in development, without a release window announced.
