After managing to steal the show from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in Logan, Dafne Keen has shown interest in returning to the Marvel world as Laura/X-23 for Deadpool 3 whenever it releases.

During an interview with Looper about her role in HBO's His Dark Materials and beyond, Keen spoke briefly about the chances of teaming up with the Merc with the Mouth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Calling herself "100 percent hopeful." However, she noted, "I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high in case it doesn't happen, but I really do hope it does because I loved playing Laura. She holds a very special place in my heart and she's an incredible character."

Keen also expressed gratitude that Disney's acquisition of Deadpool's movie rights will not result in his profanities and ultra-violent behavior being downplayed on camera. She explained, "The whole Deadpool 3 situation really, really made me happy because, obviously when Disney bought Fox, I suspected they weren't going to do any more R-rated films, but then greenlighting Deadpool is a great sign for other R-rated movies."

X-23 made her initial debut in animation on X-Men Evolution, gaining enough popularity for the character to eventually be incorporated into the comics. Keen's version of Laura in Logan, while younger, remained true to her origins as a clone of Wolverine-- possessing his mutant DNA, similar healing powers and two claws instead of three. Despite not getting along at first, she and Logan eventually form a father-daughter bond and Logan, already suffering from adamantium poisoning, eventually gives his life to protect Laura from the biotech employees who want her and the other Mutants captured.

Not much is currently known about Deadpool 3, which will once again star Ryan Reynolds as the titular character and be written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux. According to previous reports, the film will also retain an R-rating like its previous two 20th Century Fox-owned entries. However, while Deadpool 3 will officially be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's unknown whether any actors from the MCU or previous X-Men films will cameo somewhere in its story.
