WHO IS DEADPOOL 2099?

Warda was born sometime in the relative future of the Marvel Universe. Deadpool and his ex-wife Shiklah split up due to his more heroic impulses, but hooked up again a few more times over the years. One of those times left Shiklah pregnant, which lead to the birth of Warda. Shortly after her birth, Shiklah fully embraced her demonic side and attempted to conquer the world of man with an army of monsters.

That effort didn't go well, with Deadpool and Earth's other protectors managing to fight back against the horde. Following a final confrontation with Deadpool, Shiklah went missing and was presumed dead. Warda spent most of her adult life looking for her mother. She even took revenge on her father by capturing him and trapping him inside a small cell and torturing him with a nonstop supply of cable news. Her greatest rival proved to be her half-sister Ellie, who had grown into a vigilante hero in her own right. She also goes by the name "Deadpool," which just infuriated Warda even more.

HOW STRONG IS DEADPOOL 2099?

As the daughter of Deadpool and the demon queen Shiklah, she possesses a number of abilities from both sides of her family. This includes heightened reflexes, speed and strength. She also has a version of her father's healing factor, which comes with a permanently scarred face. Coupled with her demonic side, she also inherited several distinctive facial features from her mother, including empty hollow eyes.

She also has an assortment of assistants and equipment to make her missions easier. This includes Dragon, her AI flying bike that's designed as a dragon. She also wields giant energy rifles, a set of katanas, and various tracking devices. She also has a group of assistants known as The Bobs. Patterning themselves off of Deadpool's frequent ally Bob, Agent of HYDRA, they serve as back-up for Deadpool 2099 whenever she needs it.

WHAT HAPPENED TO DEADPOOL 2099?

The Deadpool 2099 story began in 2016's Deadpool #6, by Gerry Duggan and Scott Koblish. The arc continued on throughout the series, slowly unraveling the future fate of Deadpool. Warda constantly tried to get information about her mother out of him but failed to convince him to open up.. Although Warda inherited her Dad's healing factor, Ellie's mutant power allows her to resurrect herself from the dead as a younger version of herself. Much of the story featured their duel against one another, while the holographic projection of former S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Preston helped Deadpool regain his memories.

Warda threatened to unleash a monster onto a civilian population if her mother wasn't brought back to her. But eventually, Wade revealed that he never murdered her mother. He never could find it in himself to kill her. So instead, he used Pym Particles to shrink Shiklah, and hid her comatose body within his own heart. In the end, Preston was inserted into her mind, similar to how she had once been confined to Wade's mind, to help Deadpool 2099 find some semblance of peace.
