With the news that Deadpool 2 will be getting a PG-13 re-release in December, dubbed The Deadpool Before Christmas, fans may feel that a toned down version of the fourth wall-destroying antihero might not be as good as the original. A new report my change their minds, though, as the re-cut may feature new scenes and a new character.RELATED: DC Universe's Titans Tells Deadpool to 'Suck It'As reported by MCU Cosmic, Fox has revealed that The Deadpool Before Christmas will not be a new movie, but rather an "adapted version" for fans unable to see the original cut due to the R rating. That cut will include 15 minutes of new footage that stand to welcome a new character to Deadpool's wacky world.Said character may be The Wonder Years star Fred Savage, a belief furthered by Ryan Reynolds thanks to a comedic image posted on his Twitter account featuring the Regenerating Degenerate in a Santa hat spoofing the framing device of The Princess Bride, a film Savage starred in as a child.

If the picture is to be believed, the new footage may be parodying the beloved 1987 film, with Deadpool recounting for Savage's now-adult character the events of Deadpool 2 as a story. So, while the new version may not be as violent or gory as the original, it still seemingly maintains Deadpool's trademark sense of humor.
