Everything seems a little more upbeat when LEGOs play the starring role. Such is the case for the Deadpool 2 teaser trailer, which recently got the LEGO treatment from Huxley Berg Studios.

The live-action teaser saw Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool take on the role of a painter whose mannerisms were inspired by famed entertainer Bob Ross. Ross hosted The Joy of Painting, an instructional art series that aired on PBS from 1983 to 1994. Ross’ visage has taken on cultural icon status since his death in 1995, his soft tone and signature afro having been parodied by a number of comedians throughout the years.

Little is known about Deadpool 2 at this time, other than it will incorporate the time traveler Cable (Josh Brolin) and the perpetually lucky mercenary Domino (Zazie Beetz) into its fold. Deadpool released in 2016 to rave reviews, setting a precedent as an R-rated superhero movie that was able to make a major return at the box office.

Opening June 1, 2018, director David Leitch’s Deadpool 2 features the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, joined by franchise newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy.
