Although Deadpool 2 didn't surpass the domestic opening of its 2016 predecessor or set a new record for an R-rated film, the Fox sequel grossed more than $300 million worldwide and toppled Avengers: Infinity War from its box-office perch. And it's all due to the fans, the cast and crew, and, according to a thank-you message shared by Ryan Reynolds, the Teletubbies, radioactive spiders and Hello Kitty, among others.

The message, which includes an image of the Merc With a Mouth blowing a kiss, starts off sincerely enough before it devolves into pop-culture references (Ron Weasely, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle), crude humor (Seymour Butts, Michael Hunt, Jacques Strap) and literal nonsense ("lorem ipsum"). Basically, everything you'd expect from Deadpool, including a dig at Reynolds himself.

Deadpool 2 is estimated to have grossed $125 million domestically in its debut weekend, below the $135 million to $150 million projected ahead of release, and just short of the $132 million earned by the 2016 original.
