Ryan Reynolds is known for portraying the Merc With a Mouth Deadpool on the big screen in two R-rated movies, but he will soon lend his voice to the more family-friendly Detective Pikachu as the titular Pokemon hero. But could one of Reynolds' Deadpool 2 co-stars be joining him in the Pokemon feature film?

Revenge of the Fans reports Rob Delaney, who played X-Force member Peter, is on the official cast list for Detective Pikachu, and has been for some time.

A source for Revenge of the Fan reports Delaney's name has been on the cast list ever since it operated under the "Gumshoe" codename, with Delaney as one of the only actors whose role has yet to be revealed. Of course, the reason for this could be because the former Peter has a minor role in the film, but the site speculates it could all lead to a special secret role once Detective Pikachu hits theaters. Could Delaney voice a rival Pokemon to Reynold's Pikachu?

A PG-13 alternate cut to Deadpool 2, titled Once Upon a Deadpool, was released in theaters from December 12 to December 24 and extra footage starring Fred Savage.

Directed by Rob Letterman, Detective Pikachu stars Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe, and the voice of Ryan Reynolds. It opens in theaters on May 10, 2019.
