Published on Just Jared, the images show the foul-mouthed mercenary dangling from a parachute that appears to be snagged on a sign for an amusement park. Although the website isn't sure whether that's star Ryan Reynolds or a stunt man in the red-and-black suit, the latter seems like a safe bet.

The set photos arrive just days after the release of the first official images of Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as the probability-altering mutant Domino.

Little is known about Fox's sequel to the 2016 hit, which earned more than $783 million worldwide. However, Deadpool and Cable co-creator Rob Liefeld recently compared the onscreen pairing of the fan-favorite characters to Rush Hour.

Directed by David Leitch (John Wick), Deadpool 2 is filming in Vancouver, British Columbia. Premiering June 1, 2018, the sequel will see the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role, and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy.
