A report that revealed Drew Goddard's involvement with the upcoming X-Force movie has also informed fans that both Deadpool 2 and New Mutants have reportedly finished production in preparation for their 2018 release.

The report from Deadline explained that Goddard, who has previously worked on Daredevil and The Martian, will write and direct the X-Force movie, which includes both Deadpool and Cable.

The report also claims that Josh Boone has completed the spin-off X-Men: New Mutants for release on April 13, while David Leitch has wrapped Deadpool 2 for June 1. If the report is accurate, New Mutants would have taken less than two months to film, though no photos from the set have been released -- unlike Deadpool 2. That sequel, which stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable, has had plenty of on-set pictures released via social media.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 sees the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film opens June 1, 2018.

Arriving April 13, 2018, The New Mutants stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Wolfsbane, Henry Zaga (13 Reasons Why) as Sunspot, Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) as Cannonball, Anya Taylor-Joy (Atlantis) as Magik, Blu Hunt (The Originals) as Danielle Moonstar and Alice Braga (Queen of the South) as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.
