In Deadpool 2, Marvel fans got a brief hint at a scarier timeline, and no, it's not the Multiverse. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe introduces the Multiverse to fans in films Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2: Multiverse of Madness, the Merc with a Mouth talked about a far more terrifying place -- Mojoworld.

The movie introduces audiences to Shatterstar, an alien who bleeds green. It's a short line that could have been a throwaway, but the recruit to Deadpool's X-Force mentions he's from a place called Mojoworld. For comic book nerds, that mention sent a shiver down their spines (pun intended).

The Mojoverse, introduced in Longshot, is a horrible dimension in the comics where the Spineless Ones live on the planet, Mojoworld. To absolutely no surprise, it's run by a disgusting creature named Mojo. The Mojoverse exist outside of time and space, but the inhabitants were driven insane by TV waves that somehow reached the planet. Because of this exposure, Mojo runs the world almost like a television network and does everything to get ratings.

Mojo is a Spineless One who cannot walk independently and uses a spider-like metal contraption to get around. His eyes are connected to the streaming networks on his planet, and he's mounted a tail on the back of his carrier that can shoot "laser stings." Mojo can also shoot force bolts and mind control his hostages. Many subjects match his lust for violence, and Mojo rules over the planet like a dictator. Falling victim to Mojo's powers means being pulled into his reality, where he forces victims to play a role on one of his horrible shows.

One of the most popular "programs" are the gladiatorial arenas that Mojo broadcasts throughout Mojoworld. In the comics, Shatterstar is one of the gladiators raised and trained to fight but escapes to find a better life. He's not the only character to be abducted, however. In both the comics and on X-Men: The Animated Series, Mojo steals superheroes from across the universe to battle so that the high ratings can boost his political standing.

Mojo and Longshot

Mojo hatched some of the most demented plots, including replicating the X-Men and killing them all off except for the X-Babies and the "Martian Transylvania Super Hero Mutant Monster Hunter High School," which is just as ridiculous as it sounds. It featured Scarlet Witch getting pregnant with Johnny Blaze's child. Thankfully, Ghost Rider's Spirit of Vengeance couldn't be controlled by Mojo and allowed those imprisoned in the show to escape.

At one point, Mojo even forces the X-Men to perform in his version of The Wizard of Oz. They escape when Dazzler teams up with Mojo II, "the sequel," to blow a hole in the Mojonium™ dome. This attack allows Rogue to surprise Mojo from behind, and the X-Men defeat him for the time being. Clearly, the insanity that plagues Mojoworld is everpresent and all-consuming.

The scariest aspect of Mojoworld is how Mojo can manipulate it to suit whatever he desires. His magical abilities aren't completely understood and could be limitless. With such impressive numbers behind him and access to advanced technology, Mojo can force nearly anyone to be a part of his "slaughter entertainment games." He can teleport through dimensions for much of the comics and creates an anti-life field that kills natural organisms.

Shatterstar's origin in the comics lines up with Deadpool 2 and opens up an interesting door in the MCU. If it's going to bring in mutants, it must explore Mojoworld. Mojo often messes with the X-Men, X-Force and X-Factor teams to boost ratings. Mojo is a prominent X-Men villain, but he's never made a live-action debut. Seeing him on the screen could be jaw-droppingly creepy.
