In a post on Instagram, Iron Fist actor Lewis Tan posted a photo from the Deadpool 2 trailer with the caption "The gang is all here. Recognize someone?", confirming his involvement in the upcoming film. The photo sees Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool leading the X-Force into battle.
While the actor doesn't name his character, it's a safe bet that he will play Shatterstar. Following the release of the teaser trailer, actor Stefan Kapičić -- who plays Colossus in the Deadpool films -- confirmed the character's inclusion. "That’s not CGI of Terry Crews, that is Terry Crews. You can see it clearly. You can see behind him, Shatterstar, a really cool thing for people to geek out," he revealed. That would make the character over Deadpool's left shoulder Shatterstar, and therefore Tan. After all, we now know the mysterious actor behind Domino is none other than It actor Bill Skarsgård.
In Netflix's Iron Fist, Tan had a minor role as Zhou Cheng and appeared in only one episode. After the series premiere, the actor revealed that he actually went in for the titular role. While he didn't land the role of Danny, he has since managed to land an even bigger Marvel role, one that could see him join his fellow X-Force members in the forthcoming team-up film from Drew Goddard.
Deadpool 2 is directed by David Leitch, and stars Reynolds as Deadpool, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role, and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film hits theaters on May 18.
