Josh Brolin, star of the upcoming Deadpool 2, took to Instagram today to post a photo of himself, with his son, Trevor Brolin, revealing what seems to be the haircut he'll sport as the gun-totting, time-traveling mutant Cable in the hotly anticipated sequel and X-Men spinoff.
Brolin wrote in the post, "Ain't nothing better than spending time with my boy. Friggin handsome devil." Take a look below.
Cable debuted in 1986 as Nathan Summers, the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of the psychic Jean Grey, in Uncanny X-Men #201. The character first appeared as an adult operating under the moniker of Cable in 1990 in New Mutants #87. He’s known best as the leader of X-Force, which has also counted Domino and Deadpool among its members. The introduction of Cable and Domino in Deadpool 2 will help to pave the way for Fox’s planned X-Force film franchise.
Brolin previously shared an image from a gym, touting his training -- and insanely large guns -- in preparation for his Cable role. He's also teased some of the motion-capture work going into his performance as the villainous Mad Titan Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. So, if there's one takeaway from today, it's that Brolin's Instagram is a goldmine for future comic book movie teases...
Arriving in theaters June 1, 2018, Deadpool 2 will see the return of Ryan Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Karan Soni, along with newcomer Zazie Beetz as Domino. The film is directed by John Wick’s David Leitch.
