Deadpool 2: Josh Brolin Breaks Out the Big Guns to Play Cable

To paraphrase Fergie's "Fergalicious," Josh Brolin is working on his fitness for his upcoming role as Cable for Deadpool 2.

The actor has updated his Instagram account with a picture of his bicep while training for the role as the mutant Nathan Summers, aka X-Men leader Cyclops' son from a possible future.

"Cable's coming, growing from the inside," he wrote. "Clean building from a past of donut travel to the present hard case that he is. No sugar. No bread. No pastas. The machine is being built. I'm pissed off."

Hopefully, Brolin's dietary sacrifice and work out regimen will all be worth it for Deadpool 2, which is hoping to continue the success of the still-new Deadpool franchise.

Arriving in theaters June 1, 2018, Deadpool 2 will see the return of Ryan Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Karan Soni, along with newcomer Zazie Beetz as Domino. The film is directed by “John Wick’s” David Leitch.
