Ryan Reynolds and the cast of Deadpool 2 certainly know the best way to extend their gratitude after a successful week in theaters: Riffing on The Golden Girls.

A promo released by 20th Century Fox has a montage of clips from the Deadpool sequel in the style of the opening credits to the family-friendly 1980s sitcom about four geriatric women bonding through continued friendship. Featuring a roll call of the characters from the film, including Deadpool, Cable, Domino, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Colossus, Blind Al, and Dopinder, the montage is set to The Golden Girls theme song "Thank You for Being a Friend" by Cynthia Fee with period-appropriate text and VHS-filter.

Deadpool 2 has a lot to be thankful for, having already grossed over $363 million worldwide after just a week in theaters. By the end of this coming Memorial Day weekend, it should easily clear the $400 million-mark, earning well over half of the original 2016 film's box office total of $783.1 million. The sequel faces strong competition from Solo: A Star Wars Story which opens in theaters across the continent this weekend.

With stronger critical reception and word-of-mouth than the new Star Wars film, it's possible Deadpool 2 can stay golden at the box office over the next several weeks.

In theaters now, director David Leitch’s Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Julian Dennison as Russell, and Josh Brolin as Cable.
