In the photos, we can see the hilts of Deadpool's katanas with the words 'Bea' and 'Arthur' inscribed, continuing the mercenary's fascination with Bea Arthur, who played the feisty Dorothy Zbornak on The Golden Girls. The sitcom ran from 1985 to 1992 on American television and in the comics, Deadpool is obsessed with Bea, so much so that in the first movie eagle-eyed fans spotted Reynolds' Wade Wilson sporting a jersey with the actress' likeness.

Reynolds wanted to stay faithful to Deadpool's character so he paid $10,000 to use the actress' image, who died in 2009, in his 2016 movie. The money didn't go to her family estate but instead went to a charity as part a deal Reynolds worked out with Arthur's son, Daniel, whom he knew from his time spent working the comedy series Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 sees the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film opens June 1, 2018.
