After the last shots of Avengers: Infinity War ring out, Deadpool 2 will take Marvel fans back to a very different cinematic universe. Deadpool will also put together X-Force, a team that includes Zazie Beetz' supernaturally lucky mercenary Domino. Naturally, Deadpool 2 has been the subject of rampant online speculation, especially since it marks the cinematic debuts of some major X-Men figures.

20 DEADPOOL'S NEW LOOK

Deadpool 2 costumes

During one of the most surprising moments of 2016's Deadpool, Wade Wilson took a quick trip to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. He teamed up with the X-Men's super-strong Colossus, voiced by Stefan Kapicic, and Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead, an explosive young mutant. As Deadpool 2's trailers have already revealed, Deadpool will team up with those heroes again during his return trip to the X-Mansion. This time, he'll be wearing the X-Men's signature blue-and-yellow colors with what looks like Xavier's School football jersey over his classic red-and-black costume in a moment inspired by the costume Deadpool wore when he briefly worked with the X-Men in 2009.

When he actually joined X-Force in comics, Deadpool traded his signature costume in for a stealthier black-and-gray costume. Since it's one of Deadpool's most famous looks, fans were quick to pick up on a few hints that it might be in Deadpool 2. While the film was in production, Ryan Reynolds released a photo that seemingly showed some darker costumes hidden in between his other, red Deadpool costumes. Although that photo was taken down, Deadpool appeared to be wearing a dark, grungy costume in one of the trailers for the new movie. However, it's worth noting that Deadpool is standing in front of a burning building in that scene, so he could just be covered in dirt, ash or other debris.

19 PETER (WISDOM?)

Rob Delaney Peter Wisdom Deadpool 2

Despite the cinematic introductions of Cable and Domino, Rob Delaney's Peter could be Deadpool 2's breakout star. As revealed in one of the film's trailers, Peter joined Deadpool's X-Force after seeing an ad for prospective members. While the rest of the team has superpowers, Peter is an aggressively normal middle-aged man with a mustache and no apparent combat skills. As part of the film's massive marketing campaign, Peter has a verified Twitter account with some new info. In addition to revealing his love for beekeeping and the mid-1990s sitcom Friends, the page claims that his last name begins with the letter "W."

Some fans are wondering if this could mean that Delaney's playing Pete Wisdom, a mutant who briefly led X-Force in comics. Created by Warren Ellis and Ken Lashley in 1995's Excalibur #86, Wisdom was an English secret agent with the ability to generate "hot knives" from his fingertips. After working with the British mutant team Excalibur, Wisdom joined X-Force in 2000's X-Force #102, by Ellis and Whilce Portacio. Wisdom led a short-lived incarnation of the team that primarily operated as a covert strike force that dealt with bizarre threats. While Delaney's character doesn't seem to have much in common with the comic book Wisdom, Pete could be one of Deadpool 2's numerous semi-obscure references to X-Force's comic book history.

18 CABLE'S LOST HOPE

Deadpool 2 Cable Hope Summers

Like his comic book counterpart, Josh Brolin's Cable hails from a grim, war-torn future. While Cable's comic book history involves time travel, rare diseases, clones and more time travel, Deadpool 2 seems set to take a more streamlined approach to his history. In the movie, trailers have revealed that Cale traveled to the present to take out a young mutant before he grows up to become a destructive force in the future. As part of his costume, Brolin's Cable has a teddy bear attached to his belt, which some fans have connected to Hope, his adopted daughter from comics.

Since she was created by Mike Carey and Chris Bachalo in 2007's X-Men #205, Hope Summers has played a major role in the wider world of the X-Men. After the 2005 crossover House of M, the Avengers' Scarlet Witch accidentally depowered most of the world's mutants. Hope was the first mutant born after that incident, which put her in the crosshairs of several heroes and villains. By the time the 2007 crossover X-Men: Messiah Complex ended, Cable had taken Hope into the far future to protect her. Under Cable's care, Hope grew into a rugged survivor and developed her ability to mimic and activate other mutant powers. While it's unclear if that would be part of her cinematic backstory, the introduction of Hope could bring another Omega-level mutant into the X-Men's cinematic universe.

17 RUSTY'S INFERNO

Rusty collins deadpool 2

In Deadpool 2, Julian Dennison will be playing a young mutant named Russell who has mutant abilities that involve destructive outbursts of energy. According to the film's trailers, those powers don't work out well for Russell, who seems destined to grow up to become a major villain. With that storyline, many fans have made a connection between him and one of the most frequently mocked characters in X-Men history, Rusty Collins.

Created by Bob Layton and Jackson Guice in 1986's X-Factor #1, Russell "Rusty" Collins was a young mutant who accidentally burned a woman when his powers manifested. After being taken in by the X-Men affiliate team X-Factor, Rusty took the name Firefist and served with young X-teams like the New Mutants. He eventually embraced his dark side and had an unimpressive career as a villain with crews like the Mutant Liberation Front and Magneto's Acolytes. Since he was unceremoniously finished off in 1995, Rusty has only reappeared a handful of times in the past 20 years. Even though Rusty met an undignified end in comics, he might have a chance at a second life on screen. In addition to sharing a first name with Rusty, the hands of Dennison's character appear to glow in a pattern that's fairly similar to Rusty's powers.

16 COLOSSUS VS. JUGGERNAUT

Colossus juggernaut deadpool 2

In some of the first few X-Men movies, Colossus had a largely underserved role as a minor supporting character who punched bad guys in action scenes. Although Daniel Cudmore's super-strong, metallic mutant got another brief moment to shine in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, Colossus' biggest cinematic role came with his surprise appearance in 2016's Deadpool. Voiced by Stefan Kapicic, this CGI-heavy Colossus will make another appearance in Deadpool 2. According to several fan theories, the sequel will see Colossus will test his strength against one of the X-Men's strongest foes, the unstoppable Juggernaut.

During a split-second clip in one of Deadpool 2's trailers, Colossus can be seen duking it out with a concealed figure who might be the Juggernaut. If that theory holds true, the upcoming movie could be Juggernaut's chance at cinematic redemption. Like Colossus, Juggernaut has had a fairly unremarkable role in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, where he was portrayed by Vinnie Jones and primarily leaned on his momentum-based powers. Granted massive strength by the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, Juggernaut has menaced the X-Men since 1965's X-Men #12, by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. While Cain Marko has flirted with being a hero during stints on the X-Men and the Thunderbolts, he usually holds a serious grudge against the X-Men and his cousin, Charles Xavier.

15 BLACK TOM CASSIDY

Jack Kesey Black Tom Deadpool 2

When he's operating as a supervillain, the Juggernaut usually hangs out with Black Tom Cassidy. According to several fan theories, Tom could show up in Deadpool 2, possibly played by actor Jack Kesy. Created by Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum in 1976's X-Men #99, Black Tom has the odd mutant ability to channel blasts of energy through wood, which later evolved into plant-controlling abilities. In comics, most of his storylines have revolved his long-standing feud with his cousin, the X-Men's Banshee.

Even though he started out as an X-Men villain, Black Tom Cassidy was one of the first supervillains that Deadpool battled during his early solo adventures. After Deadpool kept him from claiming a villain's will on Fabian Nicieza and Joe Madureira's 1993 miniseries Deadpool: The Circle Chase, Black Tom was the main villain in 1994's Deadpool: Sins of the Past, by Mark Waid, Ian Churchill and Ken Lashley. Given his prominence in Deadpool's early history, many fans assumed that Jack Kesy was playing Cassidy as soon as he was cast as an undisclosed villain in Deadpool 2. According to some fan theories, he could also be related to Juggernaut in the movie, most likely as a cousin or sibling. By coincidence, one of Kesy's most recent cinematic roles was in an unrelated 2018 film called Juggernaut.

14 THE BEGINNING (AND END) OF X-FORCE

Deadpool 2 X-Force

Even though he wasn't a founding member of the team in comics, Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will form the first cinematic X-Force in Deadpool 2. In addition to Rob Delaney's aforementioned Peter, the team will include Zazie Beetz's luck-manipulating Domino, a longtime X-Force member who's already set to appear in an X-Force spin-off movie. The movie's X-Force will also include another two confirmed veteran comic book members, Terry Crews' Brain-scrambling bruiser Bedlam and Lewis Tan's alien swordsman Shatterstar. Bill Skarsgård will round out the team as a still-unconfirmed character.

According to several rumors, Deadpool's X-Force might not be around for too long. Several fan theories suggest that most of the team's members will meet an untimely demise at some point during the film. If that happens, that could be a moment lifted from one of the most infamous X-Force comics Marvel ever published, 2001's X-Force #116. During a company-wide shakeup at Marvel, writer Peter Milligan and penciller Mike Allred were recruited to completely retool the series. With almost no warning, the original X-Force team was written out of the series and replaced by a completely new group. After most of the issue was spent introducing the new X-Force, most of the team perished after a botched rescue mission took a gruesome turn. While that might be a shocking way to dispose of some well-liked characters, it's not hard to imagine, given the irreverent tone of Deadpool's stories.

13 ZEITGEIST

Zeitgeist Bill Skarsgard Deadpool 2

Even though the names of the rest of his teammates have been revealed, the identity of Bill Skarsgård's X-Force member still remains a mystery. In the trailers, his most noticeable feature is a transparent protective shield around his mouth. He also appears to wield gold-plated weapons, have several rings and wear a silver costume. While that's not a lot to go on, most fan theories have pegged him as Zeitgeist, X-Force's very brief leader.

Created by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred in X-Force #116, Zeitgeist had acidic vomit that could burn through anything it touched. To keep those around him safe, he wore a mouthguard that's almost identical to the one that Skarsgård's character wears in the film. Throughout that issue, Axel Cluney was positioned as X-Force's leader and the title's central character. Between his uncontrollable visceral powers and his obsession with the team's battle tactics, Zeitgeist seemed like an ersatz version of the X-Men's leader Cyclops. While the rest of his team thrived in the celebrity satire's spotlight, Zeitgeist was privately disgusted with the group's adoring fans. Like most of his team, Zeitgeist perished just a few dozen pages after he was introduced during a failed attempt to rescue a kidnapped boy band.

12 DOOP

Doop Deadpool 2

While six members of Deadpool's X-Force have been revealed in some capacity, a few eagle-eyed fans noticed another potential member hidden in a scene where the team jumps off of a helicopter. In the moment from the film's second trailer, Deadpool, Domino, Bedlam, Shatterstar, Peter and Bill Skarsgård's mystery character can all be seen diving towards the Earth alongside an unidentified, inhuman-shaped blob. While it could be a stray parachute or an invisible character, some fans are wondering if this could be Doop.

Like Zeitgeist, Doop was created by Peter Milligan and Mike Allred in 2001's X-Force #116. The floating, green potato-like creature served as the team's resident cameraman and managed to survive their first mission. Despite his odd appearance, he has a number of powers including super-strength, flight, some shape-shifting capabilities and a void in his body that can store anything. This fan-favorite character also speaks in a unique language, "Doopspeak," that's usually represented by a special font. More recently, Doop took on dual roles at the Jean Grey Institute for Higher Learning, where he quietly dealt with threats to the school and posed as a receptionist and occasional substitute teacher. Doop's had starring roles in Milligan and Darwyn Cooke's 2003 miniseries Wolverine & Doop and in the 2014 miniseries All-New Doop, by Milligan and David Lafuente.

11 VANESSA'S ROLE

Vanessa Morenna Baccarin Deadpool 2

Deadpool's whirlwind romance with Morena Baccarin's Vanessa was one of Deadpool's most unexpected highpoints in 2016. While she's played a somewhat prominent role in the trailers for Deadpool 2, some rumors suggest that Vanessa could take some surprising turns in the sequel. According to several fan theories, Vanessa could perish in the upcoming film. Other reports suggest that she could become more like her comic book counterpart and take on the shapeshifting powers of Copycat.

In comics, Vanessa Carlysle made her 1991 debut while posing as Domino in Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza's New Mutants #98. While she always had mutant powers in the Marvel Universe, Vanessa fell in love with Wade Wilson before he became Deadpool. After they broke up, she used her shapeshifting abilities to work as the mercenary Copycat. Eventually, she was recruited by the Weapon X Program, where she was subjected the operation's infamous memory-scrambling technology. After being attacked by the savage Sabretooth, Copycat seemingly perished in 2001's Deadpool #59, by Frank Tieri and Georges Jeanty. After Deadpool's healing factor helped her recover from her wounds, she operated a food truck where she introduced Deadpool to chimichangas in a short story by Fabian Nicieza and Scott Hepburn in 2013's Deadpool #27. Although Vanessa hasn't exhibited any superpowers onscreen, she spent some time in the same oxygen deprivation chamber that activated Deadpool's powers in 2016's Deadpool.

10 THE MYSTERY MUTANT

Deadpool 2 Shioli Kutsuna Brianna HIldebrand

At some point during Deadpool 2, the Merc with a Mouth will make at least one trip to the X-Mansion. In addition to riding around in Professor X's wheelchair and reuniting with Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, he'll also encounter an unidentified young mutant played by Shiori Kutsuna. While her character's identity hasn't been revealed yet, she has a prominent place in some of the film's trailers, where she wields what appears to be an electrified chain or whip.

Even though there's not much evidence to go on, there are a few different fan theories about who Kutsuna's character might be. Since the character has dyed hair and an electrified weapon, several rumors linked her to the X-Men's Surge. Created by Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir, Carlo Barberi and Khary Randolph in 2004's New Mutants #8, Surge is one of the students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters who was a major character in New X-Men, a mid-2000s series about the X-Men's young training squad. While some other rumors have claimed that Kutsuna will be playing an original character, some other rumors claim that she's playing a version of Yukio. Since Yukio was created by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller in 1982's Wolverine #1, the human martial arts expert has served as one of the X-Men's closest allies in Japan. In 2013's The Wolverine, Rila Fukushima played a version of the character who had limited precognitive abilities.

9 SINISTER CONNECTION

Mr Sinister

As it stands, Deadpool 2 will be the 11th release in Fox's X-Men film franchise. However, it wasn't supposed to be. Originally, Josh Boone's horror-tinged The New Mutants was set to be released in April 2018. Just a few months before its original release date, the movie's release was pushed back to August 2, 2019, to accommodate significant reshoots that amped up the movie's horror elements. Reportedly, New Mutants's post-credits sequence would've introduced actor Jon Hamm as Nathaniel Essex, the X-Men villain better known as Mister Sinister.

Since Deadpool 2 was originally scheduled to come out after that scene, several rumors have claimed that Mister Sinister will play some sort of role in the Deadpool sequel. While the villain still hasn’t appeared onscreen yet, the mysterious Essex Corporation was mentioned in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse and 2017's Logan, where it was involved in cruel genetic experiments involving mutants. Those are the types of schemes that Mister Sinister has usually been involved with since he was created by Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri in 1987's Uncanny X-Men #221. While he doesn't have the most extensive history with Deadpool, it's worth noting that Mister Sinister was the primary antagonist in Activision's 2013 game Deadpool.

8 THE ORIGINAL X-FORCE?

Deadpool 2 X-Force original team

From what trailers have shown, Deadpool 2's X-Force looks pretty different from its comic book counterpart. In the Marvel Universe, X-Force was created by Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza in 1991's New Mutants #100, where Cable forged the remnants of the New Mutants into his militaristic strike force. While several of Deadpool 2's characters eventually became X-Force members, Cable, Domino and Shatterstar are the only characters in the movie who were in the first incarnation of the team in comics.

According to some fan theories, those X-Force veterans might be joined on screen by some of their comic book teammates. In May 2017, several rumors claimed that Fox was looking to cast Sunspot and Feral in Deadpool 2. After Feral was created by Liefeld and Nicieza in 1991's New Mutants #99, the feline mutant had a relatively unimpressive superhero career before she perished in 2007. The solar-powered hero Sunspot was created by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod in 1982's Marvel Graphic Novel #4. After a long stint with the New Mutants, Roberto da Costa joined X-Force, where he grew into a leader who eventually led the Avengers. Sunspot already appeared onscreen in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he was played by Adan Canto, and is set to appear again in New Mutants, where he'll be portrayed by Henry Zaga.

7 X-MEN CAMEOS

X-Men Logan Xavier Hugh Jackman Patrick Stewart

Like any superhero movie, Deadpool 2 will almost certainly have its fair share of cameos. While there haven’t been any solid details about which other Marvel characters might show up, Ryan Reynolds was reportedly part of a top secret scene with an unspecified actor that was filmed during the film's reshoots. Unsurprisingly, most of the rumors about the secret cameo have involved an appearance as Hugh Jackman, either as himself or as Wolverine.

On the other hand, some rumors have claimed that the cameo revolves around the X-Men's founder, Charles Xavier. Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy, who have both been Xavier onscreen, have been mentioned in conjunction with these rumors. While Professor X's presence hasn't been guaranteed, Deadpool can be seen riding around in his motorized wheelchair in trailers, so a full Xavier cameo is not outside the realm of possibility. Still, other rumors have claimed that a full team of X-Men might make a cameo instead. Rumors have circulated about a quick appearance from the X-Men: Apocalypse team of Sophie Turner's Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan's Cyclops, Evan Peters' Quicksilver Kodi Smit-McPhee's Nightcrawler and even Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique. Since all of those characters will appear in Fox's next scheduled X-Men movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, a cameo could be a way to tease that upcoming feature.

6 ANOTHER MARVEL CAMEO

Nick Fury Tony Stark Sam Jackson Robert downey jr

The rights to make movies based on Marvel's characters are an infamously tangled web of legal arrangements. Since Fox has had the rights to make movies about the X-Men and the Fantastic Four for the better part of two decades, those heroes haven't been able to make appearances alongside the Avengers in Disney's Marvel Studios movies. While Disney's potential buyout of Fox could change that, it's still far too soon to expect any kind of official onscreen interaction between the X-characters and Marvel's heroes.

Still, that hasn't stopped some fans from wondering if a major Marvel Cinematic Universe actor could show up in Deadpool 2. Right now, Robert Downey Jr., the MCU's Iron Man, and Samuel L. Jackson, the MCU's Nick Fury, have been rumored to make an appearance in Deadpool 2. While both of those actors appeared in the MCU's first post-credits scene, they'd almost certainly have to appear in an unofficial capacity in the Deadpool sequel. Some other reports have claimed that the Avengers villain Taskmaster might make an appearance in the film. The assassin with photographic reflexes has tangled with Deadpool several times in comics, but his rights are almost certainly controlled by Marvel Studios. Those rumors started after actor Ed Skrein, who was the villain Ajax in 2016's Deadpool, made comments about wanting to see the villain in a future Deadpool film.

5 SLUGGO

Sluggo Deadpool

While Deadpool and his allies battled the villains Ajax and Angel Dust in his first cinematic outing, some early drafts of the script called for a few more villains too. Although those characters were cut out of the script for budgetary reasons, one of those villains, Sluggo, has been rumored to make an appearance in Deadpool 2. While he doesn’t have the most distinguished comic book history, Sluggo dealt with Deadpool and the infamous Weapon X Program over his nine comic book appearances.

Originally created by Fabian Nicieza and Greg Capullo in 1993's X-Force #22, Bernard Hoyster was invulnerable, with a durability that's on par with Luke Cage's powers. Despite his limited intelligence, Sluggo had considerable combat experience that made it easy for him to find work as a mercenary-for-hire. After working with Deadpool on a Weapon X strike team, the dim-witted mercenary worked for the arms dealer Tolliver and befriended his fellow mercenary Copycat. He and Deadpool briefly worked together again before he was written off. Almost 20 years later, Sluggo re-emerged in 2011's Deadpool #36, by Daniel Way and Sheldon Vella. While working with a group of characters with grudges against Deadpool, Sluggo perished in battle after taking a blast from an experimental popcorn-based weapon.

4 CABLE'S CYBERNETICS?

Cable Josh Brolin Deadpool2 arm

While Cable's metal arm is one of his most distinguishing features, it has one of the most convoluted histories in X-Men comics. In 1986's Uncanny X-Men #201, by Chris Claremont and Rick Leonardi, Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, Jean Grey's clone, had a son named Nathan Summers. After his telekinetic powers started to emerge, the villain Apocalypse kidnapped the infant and infected him with the Techno-Organic Virus. Left untreated, this fatal disease would've transformed all of Nathan's body into a machine-like combination of liquid metal and organic steel. In 1991's X-Factor #68, by Whilce Portacio, Jim Lee and Chris Claremont, Cyclops sent his son into the far future to get treatment for the T.O. Virus.

After Nathan grew up and learned to use his telekinetic abilities to keep the T.O. Virus at bay, he debuted in the present day as the time-traveling Cable in New Mutants #86, by Louise Simonson and Rob Liefeld. Since that's a complicated origin, even by X-Men standards, a few fan theories have suggested that Deadpool 2 might take a considerably simpler approach to Cable's history. According to some rumors, Cable might just have a regular bionic arm in the movie. Still, conflicting rumors have claimed that Cable will still have his T.O. Virus in the movie. While it's unclear if he'll have the same superhero parents as his comic book counterpart, Cable has already shown off his telekinetic powers in some of the film's trailers.

3 THE RETURN OF BOB, AGENT OF HYDRA

Bob Agent of Hydra

In one of the most charming moments in Deadpool, the mercenary antihero took a mid-battle break to catch up with his old friend Bob. After the two mercenaries exchanged pleasantries and shared a moment, Deadpool knocked his buddy out with a headbutt before returning to the fight. According to several fan theories, Rob Hayter's Bob will make another appearance at some point in Deadpool 2. Even though he's an agent of the evil group Hydra in comics, Bob was just a hired henchman who used to work with Wade Wilson in the movie.

In comics, Bob served as Deadpool's sidekick for a few years. Created by Fabian Nicieza and Reilly Brown in 2007's Cable & Deadpool #38, Bob Dobalina joined Hydra since it was a steady job with a dental plan. The two met when Deadpool infiltrated Hydra and forced Bob to help him escape. While working with Deadpool, he became an honorary member of the mercenary group Agency X after he saved two of its members. Together, Deadpool and Bob had a number of adventures in other dimensions and timelines. After he accidentally took down a symbiote-fused dinosaur that was attacking New York, Bob was briefly hailed as a hero before he returned to Hydra. More recently, he helped Deadpool track down an evil version of Captain America in 2018's Despicable Deadpool #291, by Gerry Duggan and Scott Koblish.

2 MIXED TEST SCREENINGS

Deadpool Peter Ron Delaney Deadpool2

Against all odds, Deadpool has become the center of Fox's X-Men movie franchise. Since 2016's Deadpool became the highest-grossing R-rated film and the highest-grossing X-Men movie ever, Deadpool 2 was a natural place to introduce Cable and X-Force before potentially spinning them off into their own features. With all of that in mind, there's a lot riding on Deadpool 2. To help ensure the success of high-stakes films like that, studios will show different cuts of upcoming movies to test audiences to gauge their general reactions to the movie and make adjustments to the film as necessary. In March 2018, a few anonymous reports surfaced and claimed that the movie had tested very poorly with preview audiences. Reports claimed that several of the film's characters were wasted or ruined, and other criticized the film's overall plot.

In response, Fox quickly dispelled these rumors by releasing scores from Deadpool 2 test screenings that were almost perfect. While multiple cuts of the film exist, the movie reportedly went through some minor reshoots in February 2018 to add more of what tested positively with audiences. Most rumors indicate that these reshoots were done primarily to add more action-centric scenes involving Josh Brolin's Cable and Zazie Beetz's Domino.

1 THE BEGINNING OF THE END

Deadpool 2 Deadpool X-Force

Supposedly, Deadpool 2 will set the stage for an X-Force movie, a Cable movie or another Deadpool sequel. However, according to some reports, Deadpool 2 could be the beginning of the end of Fox's X-Men film franchise. In April 2018, a few fan theories emerged and claimed that Deadpool 2, X-Men: Dark Phoenix and The New Mutants would be Fox's final Marvel movies, assuming that Disney's potential Fox buyout goes through as planned. All three of those movies originally scheduled to be released in 2018, and this theory posits that Dark Phoenix and New Mutants were delayed into 2019 to give the deal more time to be approved by government regulators.

According to this theory, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four will be integrated into Marvel Studios' films as part of Marvel Studios' plans for Phase Four of the MCU. The theory claims that it's unclear what this could mean for the future of Fox's current planned slate of X-Men movies, which includes an X-Force spin-off. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has already expressed his admiration for Deadpool and expressed a willingness to consider releasing R-rated movies in the future. No matter where Deadpool's cinematic rights end up in a few years, the Merc with a Mouth almost certainly has a bright cinematic future ahead of him.
