V for Vendetta actor Eddie Marsan has reportedly joined the cast of Deadpool 2. Marsan himself made the reveal in the form of a tweet, which sees Marsan's children posing alongside a costumed Ryan Reynolds, the star of the film. It is unclear at this time who Marsan will play in the highly anticipated sequel.
"The kids visited me at work on Deadpool 2," Marsan wrote. "Ryan made them feel so special. I'm officially the coolest Dad in the world."
Marsan recently appeared in Atomic Blonde, another movie directed by Deadpool 2 helmer David Leitch. He is known for his roles in V for Vendetta, Hancock, The Illusionist, Ray Donovan and Sherlock Holmes. His past credits also include Merlin, Snow White and the Huntsman, The World's End, Mission Impossible III and more.
Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 sees the return of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. The film opens June 1, 2018.
