It's all fine and good that Colossus and the fan-favorite Negasonic Teenage Warhead will return for the eagerly awaited "Deadpool" sequel, but the character we really want to know about is Dopinder. You know, the hapless taxi driver.

During a Facebook Live Q&A with Nerdist, screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick confirmed we haven't seen the last of Dopinder. "I would say that the relationship between Dopinder and Deadpool was the most fun for me.” Wernick said. “I love that relationship and I love that character. And he’ll be in the sequel.”

This news should obviously be music to any fans' ears, as Karan Son's performance as Dopinder was widely considered a highlight of the Fox film. The character chauffeured Deadpool, and abducted his cousin and romantic rival Bandhu, stuffing him in the trunk of his taxi, on the advice and encouragement of the Merc With a Mouth. As payment, he receive a "crisp high-five," and a damaged cab.

It's unknown how extensive Dopinder's role will be in the sequel, particularly considering how we last left him and cousin Bandhu.

Directed by David Leitch from a script by returning screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, "Deadpool 2" is targeted for release in 2018.
