Deadpool 2 Star Addresses Rumors of Poor Test Screenings

Deadpool 2 trailer

Deadpool 2 actor Brianna Hildebrand spoke out about the rumors surrounding the film's poor test screenings and subsequent reshoots.

Hildebrand, who plays Negasonic Teenage Warhead, was at MCM Comic Con in London and denied rumors that reshoots took place because the movie was poorly received. She stated that "It was nothing that had gone wrong. I think it’s a common misconception too – that people think that reshoots are to fix things that people didn’t like. A lot of the time, reshoots are to add more of the things that people loved."

It has previously been reported that the reshoots were done in order to add more Cable and Domino to the film. Hildebrand seemed to confirm this indirectly by saying that "Usually films hate it when you talk about their reshoots – solely because people think that it’s because the film was bad for the test audience – but it was all good.”

Debuting in theaters on May 18, Deadpool 2 is directed by David Letch and stars Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable.
