Deadman, Whiteout, Green Hornet: September 9th Comic Reel


Over at theOneRing.net, director Guillermo del Toro let the Tolkien fanbase know about an upcoming non-Hobbit announcement "The key letter is 'D,'" says Del Toro. The speculation: "D" stands for "Deadman." It was rumored last week Del Toro would take on the project in a producer capacity. Could movement on the project be around the corner?

As CBR reported yesterday, Nicholas Cage has left the production. "The actor and the studio were not able to come to terms on a deal," says an article at The Hollywood Reporter. The production must now look for a new lead villain while still filming with other principle actors.

According to "Losers" artist Jock, writer Alex Garland is writing the film. Garland previously adapted "Trainspotting" and "The Beach" for director Danny Boyle. Boyle's company is producing the new version of "Judge Dredd."

Smallville star Tom Welling talked with TV Guide about the upcoming season. They discuss the black costume. "That is the symbol of the House of El. I've gotten away for many years with the blue t-shirt and the red jacket. Very easy wardrobe for me, very simple, straightforward, very comfortable. This new wardrobe, the leather jacket is a little warmer, you have to learn how to not step on your jacket when you're in a fight sequence. You learn that pretty quick -- it doesn't take many times before you figure that out!" says Welling.
