The upcoming Image Comics adaptation Deadly Class, executive produced by the Russo Brothers, has just released a brand new trailer and poster showing its lethal cast in action in all their 1980s glory.

Following high schoolers attending a private academy that trains to be brutal assassins, the latest trailer shows Bay Area misfit Marcus being recruited into the dangerous school where the usual teenage rivalries often come with bloody consequences.

Deadly Class was created by writer Rick Remender and artist Wes Craig through Image Comics in 2014 to runaway commercial and critical success with Remender also serving as both an executive producer and showrunner on the adaptation.

In addition to the atmospheric trailer, the upcoming Syfy series has released a new poster ahead of its January premiere, fully embracing its punk rock inspirational roots.

Based on the comic book series of the same name by Rick Remender and Wes Craig, Deadly Class stars Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Benjamin Wadsworth (Teen Wolf), Lana Condor (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before), María Gabriela de Faría (Yo Soy Franky), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), Liam James (The Killing), and Michel Duval (Queen of the South). It is executive produced by Joe and Anthony Russo with Remender serving as both executive producer and co-showrunner with Miles Orion Feldsott and Mick Betancourt. The series premieres on January 16 on Syfy at 1o pm ET/PT.
