The sequel to last year's "Dead Rising: Watchtower" has announced the cast for its sequel,"Dead Rising: Endgame." As reported by Deadline, Billy Zane and Jessica Harmon are among the new cast additions in the next installment in the film series based on Capcom's popular "Dead Rising" video game franchise.

The film takes place in East Mission City, a city that's overrun with zombies. Chase Carter, an investigate reporter played by returning lead Jesse Metcalfe, goes against a rogue military operation to uncover a massive story. Keegan Connor Tracy will reprise her role as Carter's camera person and producer. "24" alum Dennis Haysbert will also return as a corrupt military intelligence officer that comes into conflict with Carter.

New cast additions include Billy Zane as a handsome mad scientist named Rand, who conducts experiments on the infected instead of curing them. Jessica Harmon and Ian Tracey will play a news producer called Jill and a whistleblower named George, two more of Carter's allies. Victor Webster will bring the protagonist of the "Dead Rising 2" game, Chuck Greene, to life in the film sequel. Marie Avgeropoulos will play a computer hacker and Carter's love interest. Lastly, Camille Sullivan will play a powerful CEO whose company produces a strong zombie deterrent.

"Dead Rising: Endgame" is directed by Pat Williams from a script by Michael Ferris and Tim Carter. The film, which comes from Crackle and Legendary Digital Media, is currently in production in Vancouver and is scheduled to premiere this summer.
