The popular asymmetrical online horror game Dead by Daylight announced it was launching a crossover with Capcom's iconic survival-horror franchise Resident Evil. Slated to debut on June 15, the Dead by Daylight/Resident Evil crossover is a DLC update that adds a new stage, a new killer and two new survivors straight from Resident Evil, each with their own unique abilities as they play hunter-and-prey.

In addition to the new Raccoon City Police Station stage, straight from its appearance in the Resident Evil 2 enhanced remake, here is a complete breakdown of what to expect from the new characters coming to Dead by Daylight this June.

Tyrant

Straight from the Resident Evil 3 remake released last year, the new killer coming to Dead by Daylight is the Nemesis T-Type, a genetically engineered Tyrant designed specifically to hunt down and kill surviving S.T.A.R.S. officers. While certainly no Lady Dimitrescu, the Tyrant sports a lethal tentacle attack that can infect the survivors it hits with the T-Virus, growing stronger and a longer reach with the more survivors that he infects while infected survivors make more noise. To counter this, survivors can discover vaccines strewn around the map.

Most interestingly, the Tyrant is aided by zombies on the map, capable of injuring survivors -- the first killer in the game to get A.I. support -- though they can be destroyed by a well-timed palette drop. In regards to perks, as the Tyrant levels up, the first perk allows the Tyrant to see all survivors for the first seven seconds of every match. The second perk causes injured survivors to go into a 30-second oblivious state after injuring a healthy survivor. The third allows the Tyrant to boobytrap generators and briefly incapacitate survivors for 14 seconds in the nearby vicinity.

Jill Valentine

Joining the Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 is that game's protagonist, Jill Valentine. Sporting her design from the RE3 remake, Jill may not have her usual arsenal to fight back against Nemesis, but she has plenty of tricks up her sleeve to stay alive. Jill's first perk lets her cleanse totems 20 percent faster than most of her counterparts and gain a stackable speed bonus for every totem that she cleanses.

After being unhooked, Jill's second perk has her start halfway towards healing herself from the near-death experience, while her last perk has her fit partially repaired power generators with a mine. Triggered after two-thirds total repair progress on generators, the landmine stays active for 45 seconds after being armed and stun a killer attempting to damage a partially repaired generator fitted with a mine.

Leon S. Kennedy

resident evil 2

Based on his Resident Evil 2 remake design, Leon Scott Kennedy joins the fray. While the rookie cop doesn't have the epic roundhouse kick he unveiled in Resident Evil 4, he has a trio of perks to help him stay one step ahead of the killers stalking him and his fellow survivors.

Leon's first perk allows him to undergo the healing process without making any noise that could tip off his location, with failed skill checks only regressing his healing progress by one percent. Leon's second perk triggers after he repairs any generator by at least 50 percent, allowing him to craft flash grenades after visiting a locker. The flash grenade can either be used as a distraction or temporarily blind those caught in its blast radius. After performing three good skill checks while repairing generators, Leon unlocks his third perk, which allows him to see the auras of generators losing their repair progress.

Developed by Behaviour Interactive, the Resident Evil DLC expansion for Dead by Daylight goes on sale June 15.
