CBR has an exclusive look at the first issue of Titan Comics' new Dead by Daylight prequel series.
Dead by Daylight is a new four-issue series published by Titan Comics from Nadia Shammas, Dillon Snook and Emilio Lecce. Releasing in May 2023, the series is a prequel to the multiplayer survival horror game developed by Behaviour Interactive and initially conceived in 2016. The CBR exclusive preview of the prequel's first issue shows Frank Morrison, leader of the murderous Legion group, violently murdering a victim before he awakens and finds himself at his new foster home.

Dead by Daylight's Prequel Will be Scary
The Dead by Daylight prequel series was originally announced in Oct. 2022. "Comic books hold a special place in my heart as with many people on the team. What an awesome time for Dead by Daylight, appearing in this format for the first time," said Mathieu Côté, Behaviour Interactive's head of partnerships, when the prequel series was announced. "Seeing our stories and characters coming to life on the page is a wonderful feeling and we hope our fans will appreciate it as much as we do. Stay tuned!"
Titan Comics editor Phoebe Hedges added, "The Legion are the perfect Killers to kick off the Dead by Daylight comics. Dead by Daylight #1 is written by Shammas, illustrated by Snook, colored by Lecce and and features cover art by Snook Ivan Tao, Chris Shehan, Lenka Simeckova and Jae Lee. The issue releases on May 24, 2023, from Titan Comics.
