This article contains spoilers for DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #2, on sale now from DC.

In DCeased: War of the Undead Gods, this reality's heroes have been faced with an insurmountable task. Just when it felt like Superman/Jon Kent, Batman/Damian Wayne and their crew found success by bringing back Kal-El, celebrating the cure to the Anti-Life Virus immediately got halted. Brianiac arrived, mangled and warning Darkseid and the New Gods were coming as the most dangerous form of the Blighted Ones.

Jon's team immediately realized things were bad, as the Man of Steel had never seen Brainiac so scared like this. Interestingly, as DCeased: War of the Undead Gods, #2 (by Tom Taylor, Trevor Hairsine, Andy Lanning, Rain Beredo, and Saida Temofonte) revealed, Darkseid won't be easy to beat as he just gained the ultimate weapon of mass destruction. However, if the heroes can find a way to crack a certain code, there's still hope as Darkseid's arsenal does have one big flaw.

Darkseid's Biggest Weapon in DCeased

Dceased has Darkseid killing Sinestro and becoming a Yellow Lantern

One of Darkseid's deadliest weapons is the Yellow Lantern ring he attained when he fought Sinestro in Korugar's orbit. While Soranik tried to help her dad out, Supergirl intervened in a scary manner, allowing Darkseid to rip Sinestro's head off. He then claimed the ring and became a Yellow Lantern, fusing his Blighted self with the power of fear. Kyle Rayner rescued a distraught Soranik, realizing they needed backup, but he may not even have an idea of the scope of the war to come as they fled.

Seeing as Darkseid is the embodiment of the Anti-Life virus if he can corrupt the ring and tap into the entire emotional spectrum, Darkseid could poison all the Central Power batteries. These rings are cosmic tech, after all, so once the virus can start spreading from the batteries to all the rings, the various Corps could become Darkseid's soldiers. More so, apart from regions like Oa, if Guy gets infected as a Green Lantern, he could attack Jon's team and hurt them from the inside. Darkseid might even be able to conjure Black rings and raise these Black Lanterns as a new form of the Blighted Lanterns. But there is still one weakness in his Arsenal.

Darkseid's Potential Vulnerability in DCeased

Dceased has Darkseid using Doom Tubes

Early on in the issue, the Black Racer stopped Big Barda and Mister Miracle from using Boom Tubes. He called them Doom Tubes now, as only the dead or the Unliving Darkseid can pass through. This allowed Darkseid to use his Mother Boxes, just like he did to poison Warworld, to create entry and exit points all over the galaxy, sending his agents through.

However, if Cyborg, using his own knowledge of Mother Box tech and his robotic make-up, can hack the Doom Tubes, he could purge those moving in and out using his cure, returning these folks to the light. It'd give Vic a profound role, especially as he and other tech-based heroes would be the best working in the background, away from possible contamination. It would also undercut the possible lantern threat and ultimately, it'd provide the heroes the element of surprise against Darkseid.
