DCeased has seen most of the heroes of the DC Universe either killed or infected with the all-consuming Anti-Life virus. However, it turns out one former member of the Justice League has been hidden away for her own safety and the safety of others -- Big Barda.

On top of discovering the truth of Barda's whereabouts thanks to Mister Miracle, the heroes are able to restore her with their newly created Anti-Life virus cure, effectively bringing her back to life in DCeased: Dead Planet #6.

The Anti-Life virus has been laying waste to one version of the DC Universe since Darkseid accidentally unleashed it. Although the virus has overtaken the minds and bodies of many heroes, villains and scores of civilians, there's still been some hope in the form of a possible cure that could be utilized by the likes of the new Justice League and their allies in the Gotham Jungle. After venturing into the cosmos and getting to put Cyborg briefly into the Mobius Chair, the heroes may have even cracked the code to the cure.

Once a version of the cure is finalized, the heroes debate who to try it out on -- with Scott Free making the point that it makes sense to test it on his wife Barda instead of on Green Arrow. He reasons that her New God physiology might give her an edge of surviving the cure if it doesn't work properly, which could take away any unnecessary risk to Green Arrow. Canary ultimately agrees and accompanies Superman and Mister Miracle to find Barda. It turns out that following her infection during the events of DCeased: A Good Day to Die, Scott was able to lure Barda to a moon near Alpha Centauri. On this peaceful and uninhabited planetoid, Mister Miracle was able to chain her up, keeping her from killing anyone else while ensuring she herself wasn't killed by the survivors.

Despite breaking loose of her constraints and attacking Mister Miracle, the heroes are able to give her the cure, which after a moment of processing through her body, reverts her to normal. Barda's eyes clear, her voice returns, and it appears that Barda is fully restored. She seems to have no memory of her time as an extension of the Anti-Life virus, and is shocked to learn that it's been five years. She's immediately curious about the whereabouts of her son, suggesting her emotions have also been fully restored. Cyborg's scans indicate that while infected, Barda was essentially in a state of undeath, and she hasn't even aged in the last five years. His scan suggests that the cure was a complete success and that the Barda standing before them is indeed the real deal, fully disconnected from Anti-Life.

On top of giving the heroes a powerful new ally and restoring Mister Miracle's family, there's still a lot of variables to uncovered by Barda's restoration. It's possible that her New God physiology responded to the cure, meaning it might only work on New Gods. And while that might be handy in contending with the Blighted-Darkseid, it could mean the cure isn't as effective at helping humanity or it could only be temporary. Or perhaps it really is the perfect cure for the Anti-Life virus, coming too late to save humanity from the legion of Amazo robots, the coming of Trigon and the waves of the undead that still exist. Still, it's still admittedly a major boon to see Barda restored, and for the heroes to have hope of restoring some semblance of humanity on Earth.
