As long as there were superheroes, fans wondered which of their favorite heroes is stronger and would win in a fight. And they were always excited when the comics, films or TV series showed how would a match between two heroes end up like.

Wonder Woman is one of the most popular DC superheroes, and as such, she participated in her fair share of such fights. But there's another Amazon who could present a real challenge for the Amazon princess - Nubia who might not be as well-known but that doesn't make her any less powerful. Let's find out who would win in the fight between Wonder Woman and Nubia.

11 Fighting Skills: Tie

Wonder Woman and Nubia are both highly skilled at hand to hand combat. Both have battled countless enemies and were able to come out on top so their fighting skills are on a highly similar level. Wonder Woman has proved that she can take down multiple opponents but Nubia is an Amazon warrior whose powers are considered above average, even when it comes to the already strong Amazons.

10 Experience: Nubia

Wonder Woman has been around for a while and she has experienced a lot. She fought many enemies, made great friends, and learned how to survive and thrive in the land of man. But Nubia has three thousand years of combat experience and it's hard to top that even if one is as well-traveled and clever as Wonder Woman is. She could learn a lot from Nubia if these two shared their experiences with one another.

9 Speed: Wonder Woman

When it comes to speed, Wonder Woman does better than most major DC heroes. She can even keep up with the Flash, the fastest man alive, as long as he doesn't use his full speed but a portion of it. Wonder Woman was given god-like speed by Hermes, and it shows. Nubia has great reflexes, courtesy of her long combat experience, but she isn't as fast as Wonder Woman who can strike down enemies in the blink of an eye.

8 Allies: Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is powerful enough on her own but it also doesn't hurt that she has strong allies at her side who fought by her side many times before, love her and respect her.

Wonder Woman is a core member of the Justice League and she's very close to both Batman and Superman who are her strongest allies. Plus, she has the Amazons at her side, at least her mother Hippolyta would stand by Diana, if not the rest of Themyscira. Nubia, on the other hand, doesn't have such strong connections to any superhero group.

7 Durability: Tie

Another area in which Wonder Woman and Nubia are more alike than many fans would expect is their durability. In other words, both these heroines are able to survive a beating that would kill normal, non-powered people in just a matter of seconds. Wonder Woman usually uses her bracelets to deflect bullets but that doesn't mean she can't be hurt. However, she and Nubia are more resistant to injury and can go on fighting even when they're harmed.

6 Strength: Wonder Woman

Nubia isn't weak, not by a long shot. After all, she possesses enhanced strength which gives her an edge in combat against almost everybody... but not Wonder Woman. Their strength levels are similar but Wonder Woman has one advantage that Nubia lacks. And that's the fact that she has strength which puts her on the same tier as Superman. Wonder Woman has been even able to defeat Superman in a fight and since Superman is one of the most powerful heroes of all time, that's saying volumes for how strong Wonder Woman is.

5 Weapons: Nubia

Wonder Woman doesn't rely only on her physical strength in combat. She also uses her bracelets which let her deflect bullets and, of course, there's her Lasso of Truth that has become an iconic part of Wonder Woman's armor over the years.

However, this round still goes to Nubia since she has even more useful weapons at her disposal. Nubia used to possess a magic sword created by Mars in older comics. The sword was the only weapon on Earth that could counteract Wonder Woman's lasso. She also wears a magical armor and a magic sword in the newer comics, following the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

4 Iconic Enemies: Wonder Woman

As far as iconic enemies are concerned, Wonder Woman is a clear winner. Superhero's reputation is just as made by the people she or he fights, and Nubia doesn't have any iconic villains - or at least not ones that the larger audience would recognize. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, has her former friend and now-villain Cheetah. If that wasn't enough, there's also the God of War Ares who also caused many problems for Wonder Woman in the past.

3 Intelligence: Wonder Woman

With all due respect to Nubia, Wonder Woman takes the victory here. That doesn't mean that Nubia isn't intelligent, but intelligence has many aspects and one of them is how good a person is at inserting herself into a new environment, making it work for her. Wonder Woman was able to build a new life in the land of man, even though she didn't even speak English in some versions of her origin story before she left Themyscira. She's also an excellent strategist and has come out victorious from many fights that seemed impossible to win.

2 Vehicles: Tie

Everybody knows Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet. When the superheroine doesn't want to fly or simply has to get somewhere in a short amount of time, she can always use her invisible jet and travel unobserved. That said, Nubia also possesses an interesting way of travel. She has the ability to enter multiple mythological realms, which is most likely caused by her magical armor. That's an ability that can certainly come in handy.

1 Winner: Wonder Woman

It was a surprisingly tough fight but in the end, Wonder Woman still prevails. Nubia is a heroine in her own right and one her enemies should be wary of, but Wonder Woman's close ties to her allies and the powers bestowed on her by gods secured her a victory in this case. Maybe it's best for the two heroes to team up rather than fight one another, after all.
