Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, health professionals and public officials have urged people to social distance in order to curb the spread of the virus. This refers to staying at home, only going out when necessary, and keeping at least six feet of distance between yourself and other people.

Dr. Jon Osterman, aka Doctor Manhattan -- a character who would no doubt jump at the opportunity to social distance, pandemic or no -- made his debut in 1986's Watchmen #1. The character has gone on to appear in Zack Snyder's 2009 Watchmen film and Damon Lindelof's 2019 Watchmen television series on HBO, in which he was portrayed by Billy Crudup and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, respectively.
