In the build up to Comic-Con, DC Entertainment is rolling out an expanded look at DC Super Hero Girls -- the new line of stories and products aimed to bring young girls into the comics fold.

Yesterday the brand's official website went live at www.DCSuperHeroGirls.com with an interactive look at the setting and characters involved in the launch's first wave. Uniting characters like Wonder Woman, Batgirl and Poison Ivy in this new universe is Super Hero High -- a school setting that places the now teenage heroes just above the line's target demographic of girls 6 to 12 years old.

The site also features solo profiles of all the characters focusing on their powers and personalities to show off how each will be presented in the various Super Hero Girls books and animated projects. HitFix got an early look at some of the character profiles on their own:

Announced earlier this year, DC Super Hero Girls will see DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. collaborate with Mattel, Random House Children's Books and LEGO. Mattel will create a toy line that will launch in 2016, featuring a line of action figures and fashion dolls featuring "strong, athletic bodies that stand on their own in heroic poses," according to the announcement. Random House Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children's Books, will act as publishing partner for the franchise, releasing a series of books about the DC Super Hero Girls starting in spring 2016. LEGO will produce building sets based in the "DC Super Hero Girls" world.
