DC Universe's Titans has found its Superboy. Joshua Orpin will fill the role of Conner Kent, aka Superboy, in Season 2.

According to the character's official description, Conner "is the angsty teenager of steel searching for purpose and the truth about his past. While looking for answers, he crashes into the world of the Titans, where he finds an unlikely home and surrogate family as well as revelations that carry more complications than he ever bargained for."

Superboy made his DC Universe debut in "Dick Grayson," the Season 1 finale of Titans. In a post-credits scene, Conner escapes from Project Cadmus with a dog with glowing red eyes, likely some version of Krypto the Superdog. However, his face is never shown in the sequence due to the fact that the role hadn't been cast yet.

Created by Karl Kesel and Tom Grummett, Conner debuted in 1993's The Adventures of Superman #500. Since his introduction, his origin has fluctuated; he has been a clone of Superman, a human/Kryptonian hybrid derived from the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor and, most recently, a recreation of Jon Lane Kent, the future son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Conner is a protagonist in the Young Justice animated series and appeared as a recurring character in Smallville Season 10.

Now streaming on DC Universe, Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Kory Anders, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth and Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan, and guest starring Rachel Nichols as Angela, Seamus Dever as Trigon, Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall and Curran Walters as Jason Todd.
