While Doom Patrol continues its acclaimed run on DC Universe, the premium streaming service has officially announced the premiere date for its next original series, Swamp Thing.

Warner Bros. has announced that Swamp Thing will premiere on DC Universe on May 31, exactly one week after the Season 1 finale of Doom Patrol debuts. This keeps with DCU's strategy to premiere its next original series immediately following the conclusion of its predecessor, as seen with Doom Patrol immediately debuting following the finale to the first part of Young Justice: Outsiders.

Swamp Thing was originally reported to premiere on May 10, but after Doom Patrol had its first season episode order expanded to 15 from its original 13, Swamp Thing's premiere was pushed accordingly.

The first season of the upcoming DCU original series is still in the middle of principal photography in North Carolina, with no trailer officially released by DC Universe at this time.
