DC Universe's latest original series, Stargirl, is already off to a strong start on the streaming platform and The CW, with rave reviews praising the love letter to DC Comics Golden Age of superheroes.
With its inaugural season now underway, The CW has released character posters for member of the show's main cast, from teenage superhero Courtney Whitmore and her family, to the next generation of the Justice (and Injustice) Society of America.
Following last week's series premiere, the pilot episode has scored overwhelmingly positive reactions from critics and fans alike on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes where it was swiftly deemed Certified Fresh and currently stands at a 90% Freshness Rating.
Created by Geoff Johns, Stargirl has high schooler Courtney Whitmore learn about the legacy of Starman and the Justice Society after moving to a new town. As Courtney inherits Starman's Cosmic Staff and becomes a superhero herself, she recruits a new generation of the Justice Society to take on the resurgent Injustice Society.
DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series airs Mondays on DC Universe and Tuesdays on The CW at 8 pm ET/PT.
