DC Universe Unveils SDCC-Exclusive Comic Variant Covers


With this year's Comic-Con International officially kicking off in San Diego next week, DC Universe has unveiled a new set of exclusives for attendees in the form of DCU comic book variant covers.

For attendees that purchase an annual subscription of DC Universe at the DC/Warner Bros. booth, they will receive a set of four comic book variant covers tying into several of the premium streaming service's original programming, while supplies last and available as a full set rather than individually. The set is also available to those that purchase a DC Universe annual subscription online during the weekend Comic-Con International from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21.

Among the comic exclusives is a copy of a Detective Comics #1000 with a new black and white cover illustrated by Jim Lee; a copy of Young Justice: Outsiders #1 by Greg Weisman and Christopher Jones, which is a comic book prequel to the third season of the popular animated series; Doom Patrol #19 by Grant Morrison, Richard Case and Carlos Garzon, kicking off their iconic run on the series; and Swamp Thing #21 by Alan Moore, Stephen Bissette and John Totleben, marking Moore's debut on the groundbreaking horror series.

Comic-Con International in San Diego officially begins Thursday, July 18 at the San Diego Convention Center. The DC/Warner Bros. booth is located at #4545 in the entertainment section of the main showfloor.
