We've known for a few weeks now that the DC Universe streaming platform was more than just DC's answer to Hulu or Netflix but today at Comic-Con International, we learned exactly what that means -- and exactly how much it's going to cost you.

Annual subscriptions to the service will run $74.99, or you can opt to pay $7.99 a month. Pre-orders for annual subscriptions were made available today at DCUniverse.com with a pre-order bonus of three free months. As a special incentive for Comic-Con weekend, fans who pre-order between Thursday, July 19th and Sunday, July 22nd will be entered into a sweepstakes to attend the US premier of Aquaman in December.

The release date is still set for "fall 2018," and at launch the platform will be made available for iOS and Android devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV.

So what will your money get you, exactly?

On top of the original shows like Titans, Swamp Thing and Doom Patrol, the service will include a robust library of classic TV and film with Batman: The Brave and The Bold, Batman Beyond and the Justice League animated series joining a hearty roster of both live action and animated favorites like Birds of Prey, Batman Begins and Constantine.

Content will be synced across devices, including digital comics, which will be viewable in 4K resolution on TV-based devices. When reading them on your television, the comics will be equipped with an "autoplay" feature that transforms them into a panel-by-panel high resolution slide show.

The digital library will rotate "quarterly, or close to quarterly," according to DC co-publisher Jim Lee, who then emphasized that available titles will number in the thousands. Fans and DC creators alike will be able to organize their favorite comics, television series and movies into personalized playlists, which can then be shared with the DC Universe community.
