Mother's Day is on May 12th, and DC Universe wants to help fans celebrate with free printable Mother's Day cards that will make any mother feel extremely loved and respected.
While there are many wonderful mothers in DC comics, these cards feature two very special DC moms - none other than Martha Wayne and Martha Kent - "that are afforded an even higher honor by their super sons." DC Universe's website has four high res ready-to-print cards that encourage fans to join Batman and Superman in saluting these mothers, as well as their own, in what they dub "Martha's Day."
Each card highlights either Wayne or Kent alongside her superhero son, and honors all mothers with heartwarming messages. The messages emphasize everything that mothers do for their children, and they also allow children a fun and unique way to express their gratitude for "the pearl in their hearts," "the inspiration for everything they do," the person they "love more than Truth, Justice, and the American way," and the person who "makes them look like a hero every day."
DC Universes reassures fans that "Martha's Day" is not just for Marthas, but for the person they consider to be the Martha in their lives. "If anyone asks why you said THAT name," DC Universe says, "just say it's because you love them!"
