DC Universe Infinite, the online source for digital DC comics, is publishing its first original comic series, Let Them Live!, featuring previously untold stories rescued from the DC archives and combining them with original work by screenwriter Elliott Kalan artists Mike Norton and Marissa Louise.

According to DC, the never-before-seen comic book tale will follow a meta-narrative, which strings together shorter, episodic stories featuring a wide variety of familiar DC characters and plotlines. Each one will be introduced and told by the quirky, fourth-wall-breaking superhero-turned-narrator Ambush Bug, who will take readers on a journey through these stories while working as a night janitor at the DC offices.

Let Them Live! debuted digitally on Feb. 2, beginning with Let Them Live! #1 — a Suicide Squad story by Jim Zub, Tradd Moore, Felipe Sobreiro and Nate Piekos. Following that, Let Them Live! #2 will be a Nightwing story by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, Jorge Corona, Mat Lopes and Carlos M. Mangual and will launch on Feb. 16. Lastly, Let Them Live! #3 will go on sale on March 2 and tell a Batman story by Scott Bryan Wilson, John Paul Leon, Dave Stewart and Deron Bennet. Every issue of archived work will be paired and retooled with a brand-new frame story by Kalan, Norton and Louise.

The first three issues of Let Them Live! may be just the beginning, with DC Universe Infinite teasing the potential for more installments in the future. The full series will be made available to those with a subscription to the online comic book service as they are released.

DC Universe Infinite is the revamped, comics-centric version of the DC Universe app that contains over 25,000 titles in its massive online library. While the service is currently only available in the United States, it plans to expand to a global audience sometime later this year.
