DC Universe subscribers will have a chance to experience HBO Max, and at a discounted price to boot.
A new email sent out to DC Universe subscribers offers a subscription to HBO Max at the price of $4.99/month. Regular subscriptions to HBO Max cost $14.99. The offer is only available for annual DC Universe subscribers; if DC Universe members cancel their subscription, they will have to pay the regular subscription price.
The future of the DC Universe service has been the subject of recent speculation. Many of its original shows have also started airing on other networks, including Stargirl and Swamp Thing on the CW and Doom Patrol on HBO Max. A new report has also claimed that Harley Quinn will be making its way to the service. DC Daily, the service's daily news program, was canceled after one season; its final episode will air this Friday.
HBO Max launched on May 27. Among its wide library of content, there are several DC films and TV series including Aquaman, Shazam and Season 1 of Batwoman. The service will continue to see more DC-based programming in the future, including Zack Snyder's Justice League in 2021 and a live-action Green Lantern series produced by Greg Berlanti.
