DC Entertainment announced it will release a reprint of 2011's "Suicide Squad" #1 and a preview of the original graphic novel "DC Super Hero Girls: Finals Crisis" as part of Free Comic Book Day 2016.

Written by Adam Glass and illustrated Marco Rudy, with a cover by Ryan Benjamin, "Suicide Squad" #1 reintroduced as part of DC's New 52 the team of supervillains recruited by the U.S. government to take on dangerous missions.

The release of the "Suicide Squad #1 FCBD Special Edition" will come three months before the Aug. 5 premiere of Warner Bros.' "Suicide Squad" movie, starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach and Viola Davis.

Written by Shea Fontana and illustrated by Yancey Labat, the "DC Super Hero Girls #1 FCBD 2016 Special Edition" will offer a sneak peek at the graphic novel tied to the doll and action figure franchise launched last year by DC and Mattel.

Free Comic Book Day 2016 will be held Saturday, May 7, at participating retailers worldwide.
