Principal photography on Warner Bros. and DC Films' The Flash is finally complete.

Colin Nicolson, one of the film's sound mixers, confirmed the wrap on Instagram, writing, "That's a wrap on The Flash. Day 124 with a fantastic sound team, brilliant cast, and crew. It's been challenging but great fun."

Production on The Flash has been anything but speedy. Phil Lord and Chris Miller signed on to write the story treatment in 2015, while Seth Grahame-Smith was tapped to write and direct. The latter departed in 2016 and was replaced by Rick Famuyiwa, who similarly left the project the following year due to creative differences. Warner Bros. then commissioned a script rewrite by Joby Harold and in 2018, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were announced as the new directors. After yet another shakeup, Andy Muschietti was named the new director in August 2020, and production began in April 2021. Even with Muschietti on board, however, The Flash faced some setbacks, the most recent of which took place in July when filming paused due to an accident while filming a stunt with a Batcycle.

In addition to Ezra Miller's return as Barry Allen, The Flash will feature not one but two Batmen in Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. The film will also introduce Supergirl to the DC Extended Universe, with Sasha Calle playing the Girl of Steel. There are even rumors that The CW/Arrowverse's Flash, Grant Gustin, will make an appearance. This isn't entirely outside the realm of possibility considering Miller appeared in The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover.

One person who presumably won't be appearing in The Flash is Ray Fisher's Victor Stone/Cyborg. Reports of Cyborg being in The Flash date back to 2016, but after Fisher's falling out with Warner Bros., the likelihood of his character showing up seems slim. In January, the actor even confirmed the would-be role "was much larger than a cameo," but several months later, he said he'd only reprise Cyborg in The Flash if Warner Bros. apologized. This, coupled with his promise to not work on any project headed by DC Films President Walter Hamada, all but confirms The Flash will be a Cyborg-less endeavor.

The Flash arrives in theaters Nov. 4, 2022.
