The following contains spoilers for Flashpoint Beyond #3, on sale now from DC Comics.

DC's Flashpoint Beyond #3 ends with a tease of a new, dangerously violent Robin.

Flashpoint Beyond #3 comes from writers Geoff Johns, Jeremy Adams and Tim Sheridan, artists Xermánico and Mikel Janín, colorists Romulo Fajardo Jr. and Jordie Bellaire and letterer Rob Leigh. Throughout the series, Thomas Wayne -- the Batman of the Flashpoint Universe after Bruce was killed by Joe Chill instead of his parents -- has taken in Dexter Dent, Harvey and Gilda's son, after Harvey was killed and Gilda was sent to Arkham Asylum. Thomas' assistant, Oswald Cobbleplot/the Penguin, has largely been left to watch over Dexter while Thomas is racing to find the Clockwork Killer. Not necessarily prepared to care for a child, Oswald has taught Dexter how to shoot a gun, pick a lock and other skills over the course of Flashpoint Beyond.

DC Teases a New, Very Different, Ultra-Violent Robin

Flashpoint Beyond #3 ends with a tease indicating Dexter is about to become Batman's next Robin -- only, it seems he's about to become a far more dangerous Boy Wonder compared to any previous incarnations of the character. The text on the final page of Flashpoint Beyond #3 reads, "Next: Dexter Dent: Robin the Boy Terror."

Sheridan has previously hinted at Flashpoint Beyond introducing a new Robin before. In a CBR exclusive interview, Sheridan said, "Young Dexter has his own story and agenda. We've all seen the long, great history between Batman and other lost young men. I don't want to give away too much, but I think you can see the ideas that we're playing with and how they tie into the history of Batman's legacy. Let's just leave it at that for now."

Solicitation information for Flashpoint Beyond #4, which releases Aug. 2, reveals Dexter will use his new skills to help his mother escape. While staying in Arkham Asylum, Glinda has repeatedly tried to see Dexter but so far has been denied access to her son. In Flashpoint Beyond #2, Glinda mutilated her face and became the Flashpoint Universe's Two-Face, which is then re-enforced in Flashpoint Beyond #3 when she begins hearing voices in her head and starts carrying a Wayne Casino poker chip as her double-headed coin. The synopsis for Flashpoint Beyond #4 reads, "Thomas Wayne is quickly closing in on the Clockwork Killer, but his investigation might be impeded by young Dexter Dent and his own vigilante agenda: breaking his mother out of Arkham!"

Flashpoint Beyond #3 features cover art by Mitch Gerads and variant cover art by Xermánico, David Marquez, Alejandro Sánchez, Doug Mahnke and David Baron. The issue is on sale now from DC.
