The Teen Titans are one of the best teams in the DC Universe. With an impressive roster of teenage superheroes, they know how to get the job done. But that doesn't mean they can stop every gang of villains on their own. Sometimes, being the best means knowing when to call on allies who have the skills and the support needed to take down an enemy together.

That doesn't always mean that calling in a favor is a built-in solution to defeating a new or established team of villains. In fact, as the Teen Titans found out themselves, the solution is often discovered through trial and error.

10 Brotherhood of Evil Was Defeated By The Teen Titans And Doom Patrol

Brotherhood of Evil Houngan Brain Monsieur Mallah Warp Phobia

The Brotherhood of Evil has a name that pulls no punches. Led by the brilliant Brain and the melodramatic Monsieur Mallah, they frequently target the Teen Titans. In addition to the brains and the brawn, the BOE range from the mildly dangerous Killer Moth to criminal masterminds like General Immortus.

The Brotherhood of Evil has gone through three incarnations and expanded the roster to include villains like Mr. Nobody, a nemesis of Doom Patrol. In the fifth season of the animated Teen Titans series, Beast Boy called on teammates from the Doom Patrol and Titans for help. Together, the two teams rescue their comrades before they could be flash-frozen.

9 The Hybrid Couldn't Stop The Teen Titans and Blue Beetle

Mento and The Hybrid Gorgon Behemoth Mento

The Hybrid was a team of super-villains assembled by Beast Boy's dad Mento, a former member of the Doom Patrol.

It all went down in Blue Beetle #12 by Len Wein and Paris Cullins. Beetle's buddy Curtis Calhoun was in a molten promethium accident and sought medical treatment when the ambulance he was in was hijacked by a helicopter. After rescuing the ambulance, Beetle's Bug was attacked by a brute named Behemoth and crashed.

Before Blue Beetle could emerge from his craft, the Teen Titans arrived and engaged Behemoth's buddies The Hybrid. Mento thought Calhoun made the perfect addition to his team as Prometheus. The combined might of the Titans and Blue Beetle won the day, overcoming the worst The Hybrid could throw at them.

8 Red Lanterns Can Match The Green Lanterns in Power And They Have No Restraint

Red Lanterns Atrocitus

Taking on a powerful group like the Red Lanterns requires more than just great skills and a few powers. The Teen Titans have a rotating roster of heavy hitters, but those like Nightwing will be at a severe disadvantage. Red Lanterns feed on rage and the rings they wear can create light constructs in the shape of weapons, defense, or raw blasts of power.

The Red Lanterns are a dangerous spectrum of the Lantern Rings created by the Guardians. While the Green Lantern Ring is powered by will, and the Blue Lantern is powered by hope, the Red Lanterns and their ring bearers are powered by violent hate and revenge.

7 Dark Knights Of The Multiverse Have Too Much Bruce Wayne In Them

Dark Knights of the Multiverse Batman Who Laughs Bathomet The Red Death

The Teen Titans would need a team-up if they went head-to-head with the Dark Knights of the Multiverse. The team did fine when they had to face down their doppelgangers during the Dark Multiverse invasion. The difference between those matchups and the Dark Knights of the Multiverse is that the Dark Knights are all twisted versions of Bruce Wayne.

One Wayne driven to madness is bad enough but mixing that with the powers of The Flash, Aquaman, and more is too difficult a fight for any team. In the end, even the Justice League had to ask for help. The Titans would be smart to do the same.

6 Even The Justice League Needs Help Fighting The Crime Syndicate

Crime Syndicate Ultaman OwlMan Power Ring Superwoman

The Teen Titans are tough enough to take down Slade Wilson, but they don't have the cruelty to defeat the Crime Syndicate by themselves. The Crime Syndicate hails from an Earth where the bad guys win every time. The team itself comprises malevolent opposites of Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash.

Even though the Justice League has found a way to beat the Syndicate, even they needed help sometimes. The Titans would be wise to reach out for help if they planned to go toe-to-toe with the Crime Syndicate.

5 Secret Society of Super-Villains Is Dangerous Enough To Challenge Darkseid

Secret Society of Super-Villains Star Sapphire Floronic Man

Every version of the Secret Society of Super-Villains proved extremely lethal. There wasn't a single incarnation the Teen Titans could challenge without eventually needed to rely on reinforcements. Originally put together by Darkseid himself, the Secret Society of Super-Villains wrested control and took charge of its own destiny.

Any team willing to rebel and face the wrath of the Lord of Apokolips must be taken seriously. With a roster that has included Talia al Ghul, Lex Luthor, and Black Adam, it's easy to see why the Secret Society of Super-Villains took the risk.

4 Injustice Society Has The Advantage Of Time And History

Injustice Society Per Degaton Solomon Grundy Wizard Brainwave

The Injustice Society's original team would be a challenge for the Teen Titans and the Society's modern version wouldn't be any easier to defeat. The first incarnation of the Society consists of The Wizard, Per Degaton, Gambler, Vandal Savage, Thinker, and Brain Wave.

Later in the 1970s the Society formed a new team with an updated roster including: Fiddler, Icicle, and Solomon Grundy. Both lineups gave the Justice Society of America substantial trouble. The Teen Titans should consider contacting the JSA if they ever go up against the Injustice Society.

3 It Took The Teen Titans And The Legion Of Super-Heroes To Stop The Fatal Five

Fatal Five Emerald Empress Persuader Mano Tharok Validus

The Teen Titans needed to partner with the Legion of Super-Heroes to take down the Fatal Five the first time they faced the villains from the future. It all started when Superboy got pulled into the 30th Century through a tear in the fabric of space/time. Poor Connor was trying to have his first date with Wonder Girl when the rift sucked him through. Then he appeared seconds later, dressed in a new uniform, and told the team they needed to come with him to save the future.

The reason behind the urgent summons was that the Fatal Five were attacking Legion World. Plus, the Legion of Super-Heroes discovered that if they failed to stop the Fatal Five, then Persuader would open a hole into other realities. If he was successful, the Fatal Five would connect with their allies across reality and become the Fatal Five Hundred. Luckily, the combined might of the Teen Titans and the Legion of Super-Heroes proved enough to save the day.

2 Teen Titans Should Team Up If They Face The Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad Deadshot Harley Quinn King Shark Deathstroke

The Teen Titans have faced plenty of bad guys, but a band of killers like Suicide Squad comprises hardened criminals with nothing to lose. When Amanda Waller put together Suicide Squad she wanted a team of killers capable of operating outside the law. Considering how many powered criminals are behind bars, Waller has a significant number of felons at her disposal.

The Teen Titans would be wise to contact the Justice League and maybe another team or two for backup. In fact, calling in two teams for backup might be the best place to start.

1 Legion of Doom Outgrew The Challenge Of The Super Friends

Legion of Doom Joker Lex Luthor Sinestro Darkseid Captain Cold Solomon Grundy Black Manta

The Legion of Doom started as a team of villains from the Challenge of the Super Friends and evolved into a dangerous threat that's simply too much for the Teen Titans to handle on their own. Don't confuse this Legion of Doom with the wrestling team The Road Warriors, Legion of Doom teams have been created by everyone from Lex Luthor to Brainwave.

In fact, Superboy-Prime forms a version of the team to take on the Titans and kills Pantha in a fit of murderous rage. When facing the Legion of Doom, it's usually a good idea to plan for a team-up.
