Superman is the first costumed superhero. The most important comic character of them all and one of the greatest fictional characters created in the 20th century, Superman has been entertaining audiences for over 80 years. His stories are modern day myth. A member of the Justice League, Superman is always on the forefront of the battle against evil but he still makes time for the little people. An inspiration to everyone, be it fictional hero or child who reads their first Superman comic, it's easy to see why he's the greatest.
Since its debut in the '90s, Pokémon has thrilled audiences. People have been trying to catch them all for over twenty years now. While they may not be as insanely popular as they once were, they're still a huge part of pop culture, with video games, collectible card games, toys, movies, manga, and an anime. This list is going to take a look at what six Pokémon Superman would have on his team if he was a Pokémon trainer.
7 Pokémon Type: Miscellaneous
Many trainers specialize their team, going for a theme. While they'll include Pokémon that have more than one type, they usually have one main type. Superman wouldn't do something like that. He has a wide variety of powers, so he would go for a team that had a few different types- Flying, Dragon, and Steel.
6 Charizard
Charizard is a Flying and a Fire-type Pokémon. It's been around since the first generation of the game and is one of the most popular Pokémon. It's also very powerful, with well-balanced stats and a variety of great attacks. It has two Mega forms and a Gigantomax form, each form making it more powerful. The more experience it has, the hotter its flames burn and it can melt just about anything it comes across.
Superman would like Charizard because of how well balanced its stats are. Both of them are high flying and strong and harness powerful blasts of heat to take down their enemies.
5 Aerodactyl
A Rock and Flying-type Pokémon, Aerodactyl has high Attack and Speed stats. A Fossil Pokémon, it existed long ago in the age of dinosaurs. It was brought into the modern era by extracting some of its DNA from a mosquito in amber, a la Jurassic Park. A ferocious fighter, it also has a Mega evolution that makes it even more powerful. While it looks the type of Pokémon that would be a carnivore, it survives on a diet of fruits and prefers to live in the mountains.
A fast, tough Pokémon, Aerodactyl is a little more savage than Superman would like but it would make a great addition to its team. Superman would empathize with it, since they are both from extinct places.
4 Reshiram
A Dragon and Fire-type Pokémon, Reshiram is a Legendary Pokémon. It is said that Reshiram exists to build a world of truth, punishing those who ignore the truth and give in to greed. Fantastically powerful, it uses its jet engine like tail to accelerate itself to high speeds when it's flying. By flaring its tail, it's able to move the world's atmosphere and change the weather.
Reshiram's firm belief in the truth would set it in good stead with Superman. Superman's civilian life as a journalist is all about spreading the truth and exposing those who lie and their greed. Beyond that, Reshiram is a very powerful Pokémon that would fit in well with Superman.
3 Kommo-o
A Dragon and Fighting-type Pokémon, Kommo-o is covered in shiny scales. The scales protect it from harm and it uses them in combat. Its glittering scales are said to drive away the darkness. Kommo-o won't battle weak opponents; it only takes on strong opponents. The reason it only battles strong foes is so it can have the power to face great evil. Known for its powerful uppercut, it trained relentlessly to watch over Jangmo-o.
Kommo-o and Superman are both noble beings who exist to face down the worst evils. Both are fantastically strong and durable and would never try to hurt those weaker than them.
2 Steelix
An evolution of Onyx, Steelix is a Ground and Steel-type Pokémon. Known for the hardness of its skin, it has an insanely high Defense stat. Able to borrow almost mile down, they are known for trying to dig to the planet's core. Steelix is a very tough Pokémon. It even has a Mega evolution to make it even more powerful.
Superman is the Man of Steel and is known for his amazing durability as is Steelix.
1 Zacian
Zacian is a Fairy and Steel-type Pokémon. A Legendary Pokémon, it carries a sword in its mouth that is capable of piercing even the toughest Pokémon. It's attacks are like a graceful dance, captivating its opponents with their grace and beauty. It has two different forms- the Crowned Sword form and the Hero Of Many Battles form. Striking faster than a blinking eye, it's said that it can cut the ocean in two.
Zacian is a power Pokémon that inspires awe in foes and friends alike, much like Superman. It is fast and powerful, something else it has in common with the Man Of Steel.
